Outfit of the Night: Jan 6,2010

So this was my outfit of the night. It's a bit chilly tonight and was bound to get colder. (60s) So I wanted to wear something bright and opted for this white dress that had a sort of lace type of fabric. Cute ruffle crew neck and pockets! Pockets are so awesome! lol I added a thick hot pink belt to match with the scarf, earrings and makeup. My heels were black to match with the smokey eyes I did (encorporating pink in the inner corners.) and it also matched with the leather jacket. I don't usually wear a necklace with this dress it already has detail at the top so bring on the rings and bracelets! Have fun with your clothes :) Wear what makes you happy. :)

Projects :)

  Okay so I've been dying to customize my clothes but need to practice a bit more with my sewing skills. What better way to do this than taking old clothes and making it into something new! Ther first project I did that I forgot to take pictures for was a pair of flare jeans that I turned into perfect skinnies! Except now I have to fix the waist because it's too big! :D Other projects I've done in the past have been skirts. I'll take pictures and add them later.

1.Turn Long pajama pants into shorts!

2.Pajama Pant legs into leg warmers.

 3.Sweater Shirt-Arms into hand warmers

4. Sweater vest- Change buttons and add a cute flower(made it) and also cut that tie in the back.

5.Turtle neck Shirt- Turn to crew neck and add round studs to shoulders(coming soon)

The Want List

So for the past 3 weeks I've been going crazy looking through google images and finding the most amazing DIY's and designer clothes. At first it was simply to make studded converse but then ideas kept popping into my head! So this is the want list for January 2011 :D

New York

    Okay so I just came back from New York and I'm happy to be back in Miami cause even though I loved the snow and the city I missed my home too much. New York was beautiful everytime I went into the city, unfortunetly I had to stay an hour away in New Jersey. But the times I was able to go made my day. I shopped alot, ate and toured the streets. It was crowded like always but nonetheless amazing. I can never get over the sights and wish that one day I could live there. New York is such an inspiration for me, not only in fashion but also for my studies. Next time I plan to visit Columbia University, F.I.T and Parsons. The people there may seem moody and busy but actually they seem so much more. They have their own vibe and scene. New York is just their world and we just come to visit. One day I hope to stay their forever. I love New York.
