Splendor By Anna Godbersen

SPOILER ALERT:
Splendor by Anna Godbersen
Okay, everyone who is reading along with me the Luxe Series must be highly disappointed! If you are not then please tell me what in the world was the point to this book if the characters didn't even end up together in the end! Seriously! I was rooting for Henry and Diana since the beginning. This book has shocked me, bored me, and left me speechless (sometimes in a bad way). But I never stopped reading because I just had to know what the end results were going to be. Let me tell you that Anna really threw me in a loop in this book. I was soooo upset by the end that I regretted wasting my money and time to buy these books. I'm so sorry for anyone who went and bought these books and was as disappointed as I was. I truly am, I had no idea that this was going to be a twist right at the very end when happy endings are suppose to happen! Come on Anna, you can get away with messing with the relationships in the second even third book but the final book! Just fix them up again! Why couldn't you give us a bone to mull over the perfect, romantic relationship these two (Henry and Di) individuals had! I love being wrapped up in a fantasy and I just felt that this book really brought you down to something worse than reality. Well, at least this is the end and I wont have to suffer any longer!
Now that I've finished my rant on how mad I got when I finished that last chapter!
On to real fantasy with dragons and magic! I know that will NEVER disappoint!

Rumors By Anna Godbersen

Rumors is the sequel to Luxe by Anna Godbersen. The Luxe series are about the Socialites of old Manhattan set back in 1899. If you love fashion, drama and a good mystery here's a quick read for you! The series consists of four books. Rumors is the second and I just finished it in just a week! Wow, in the end it was such a great story! It leaves you wanting to get your hands on the next. Unfortunetly the Barnes and Noble in my area ran out of the third book, Envy! Is that possible??
Well Rumors isn't my favorite, so far Luxe is still the top book. But it had it's romantic parts, slow parts and shocking parts! I admit most will NOT like this at all but I'm praying the next two books in the series will be better! I hope. :S
I hope you guys get a chance to read it! Let me know if there are similar books like the Luxe Series! I really want to start reading more of those genres!!

Comment below and let me know if you have read recommendable books please! Anything Luxe, Gossip Girl, It Girl related. Even set back in the Victorian era!

Luxe By Anna Godbersen

I read this book a few months ago and never got a chance to write a review! I think this is pretty similar to Gossip Girl since it is set in New York but in the 1890's!! Specifically 1899 at the end of the year and of the turn of the century. It deals with the society women of the era and the elite society of New York. I love the way Anna told the story though some scenes are very slow. I have two favorite characters: Henry and Diana! Ugh they are amazing and have the best story to tell!!
Anna discribes the ladies elaborate dresses, the fancy parties and events that  happen in the story with full detail and passion. I can't help but fall in love with the era and the fashion! The life style in that time was luxiorious, of course only for the rich and wealthy class.

I wish I could travel back and see life in that time.
Do you have a favorite series? I'd love to know!
For now the Luxe series are top on the list! My next read is Rumors the sequel to Luxe!!

The Last Song By Nicholas Sparks

The Last Song By Nicholas Sparks

Wow I must say this book completly touched my heart but there were some very low points to it. I found it a bit slow in some areas and there were a few scenes that could have just been omitted. There were a few chapters that just dragged on. But guess what? The last I'd say about 7 to 8 chapters made up for it. If you are in to tear jerking, heart tearing stories I recommend this particular book. I can relate to the teenage drama, love and loss and in the end it was a beautiful, entertaining story. Nicholas Sparks is one amazing writer and I look forward to reading his other master pieces. I hope you enjoy this pick as much as I did or more.

Atonement By Ian McEwan

Atonement was a beautiful, amazing, heart breaking novel by Ian McEwan. If this man has more books than I am definitely investigating to see what they're about. This book was about the two child hood friends who never knew about their love for each other and when it finally blossomed they were torn away from each other. Both heart tearing and still mind boggling but it is a story I truly love and has to be one of my all time favorites! It is a work of art and I recommend this to any hopeless romantic. I will admit I think seeing the movie was a spoiler but I liked having an even better picture while I read the book. It is unforgettable and will stay in your head for days to come. Pick it up. :)

The Choice By Nicholas Sparks

So on Friday February 18, 2011 I went and bought myself a new book. The one recommended was The Choice by Nicholas Sparks and I do not regret buying it at all! I've seen many of his movies (A Walk To Remember, The Notebook, Nights In Rodanthe, Dear John, The Last Song) And the movies are amazing and tearful! So I am looking forward to reading the books!

The Choice was amazing, comical, and heart wrenching. I loved the dialogue and the story line. I recommend this book to people who like romantic stories. The writing was beautiful!

Next book: The Last Song By Nicholas Sparks
