Collective Haul: Accessories

After everything is over with and the balloons have been popped and the glitter has been picked up. What is it that we have left after an amazing party?

That's right! Gifts! And in that stack of envelopes there are giftcards and money! You know what that means? Shopping spree!! I've been very good with calculating how much I spend and what I save. I'm also very good at finding sales so hopefully you guys don't think I used up all my money lol.
I actually had a plan in my head about what I would buy and what I needed.
Since some gift cards are only for specific shops I used those on clothes (F21, Macys)
The others I used on things I really wanted or needed.
I've already tried filming this video twice before giving up! It was way too long and crazy so I decided to just have different videos for the different categories. First up is the accessories and the jewelry. (Mostly jewelry lol)
I hope you guys like it!

Underneath I am what you seek..

Hellow everyone! I'm so upset that I wasn't able to make a video from this outfit!! I love it so much and felt amazing in this dress. The necklace I'm wearing really makes a statement and to me it makes the outfit a whole lot edgier! I hope you guys like this. I wore it for a grad party last week, it was a bit formal but I love dressing up! It's got a shatter type of print on it and I paired it with a skinny belt to add a little more to the outfit. I decided to wear nude heels elongate my legs even more! BTW The best thing about this dress is the pockets! Omg so awesome hehe!
My makeup was super simple and I curled my hair like always.

Makeup: Shadow: Blackberry by MAC
Lipstick: Twig by MAC
Blush: Fluer Power by MAC
Nails: Lovie Dovie by Essie
Dress: Marshalls

Life Of A Fashion Queen Series: Party Planning

You guys are now entering the super secret party planning world of the Fashion Queen herself!
I live to have epic, amazingly fantasic and unforgetable parties! Every single party, with out fail, that I have planned has come out great and unforgetable!! I planned my sister's graduation party last year and no other party could compare! (totally not being biased as I'm basing my self off of known facts!)
This is sorta off my general topic of 'fashion' but in a way it does have something to do with it. I mean what kind of Queen can't throw a fabulous party!? Let's get started with my fool proof party planning!

Let's start with theme! I adore this step in party planning just because it's so much fun to write down a bunch of creative ideas for your theme!! Most parties I go to don't have a theme. Many people think it will get expensive and too crazy. On the contrary! You will be totally focused there for it will save time while you look for decorations, outfit for the night, music, food and party favors if you like!
List all your possibe ideas and see which one is most attractive! From there we can move on to decorations!

Decor is my ultimate favorite step because I belive decorations can make your party or break it! Now that we have a theme settled we can start our research on the decorations. Search up every possible ajective that discribes your theme. Now think outside the box! Anyone can throw a glow in the dark party and just buy glowsticks. But what fun is that? EX: Glowing ice cubes, glowing cups, plates, straws, how about black lights and everyone wears white? You see now we're starting to have a cool party! Just remember stick to your theme and get creative with it!

Food is another thing that is super important. If you're having a grad party I usually stick to finger foods: chicken fingers, mini corn dogs, chips and dip, mozzerella sticks, the list goes on really! The party usually starts after the ideal dinner time anyways.
But if you're having a full on four course meal party then start planning a menu for the dinner.
Don't forget desserts! I like having simple desserts like cupcakes and brownies instead of a huge cake just cause it's faster to pass out and easier to make a hundred instead of spending loads of cash trying to get a cake that feeds a hundred or more people!
Remember people get hungry but if the music is too good they wont care to eat as much!

Which brings me to music, the life of the party really and come on you know its true! Have you ever been to a party where the DJ plays such old songs that they don't even move you to dance! I know there are classic songs but I hate listening to the same repeated tunes. That's why sometimes it's best to make your own playlist for the DJ and get a DJ that knows his music. It will be worth that extra cash!

These are some of my tips that I have learned through out my many years of party planning! I hope they were some what helpful and entertaining! lol If you'd like I'll post my party plans for my grad bash! Let me know in the comments below! Thanks for reading I love you all!

Life Of A Fashion Queen Series: My Grad Bash Planning

(This dates back to July 28,2012)

Okay guys, I'll treat this as my diary for now.
You all know that I'm done with HS and I'm on my way to college very soon just in 5 weeks! Oh god so nervous but so excited! I really can't wait to get into class again and get out of my house. I know some days I will just miss being lazy but I'm growing up and need to get my responsibilities straight. But before all that happens and I become a busy college girl I'm throwing the biggest, baddest most epic party of 2012! (in my opinion and I believe we should always think highly of oursleves, no one else will!) But to create this epic party I'm gonna have to plan A LOT!! The party is in 4 weeks and I'm almost through with this week! PANIC! I'm getting the invitations printed by the end of this week, date, time and place is already set. I also have a hook up to print a few decorations I will need. More on that later. For now I wanted to talk about what I have been up to these past three/four days!

I have been vigorously choosing music to play at the party, already have a DJ, but I need great music. Any one have ideas on what's the best "dance/pop" music? I'm having a bit of trouble just because a lot of the songs are mixed or house. Suggestions are welcome just leave it in the comment box please!

The next thing I have been up to, other than designing the invitations and the decorations, is the invite list. Recently it went from like 110 down to 85. Which is fine because I only want true friends in my party, no room for haters in this house!! But I still think it's too many people, I'm not about to get in to debt right before college! lol It's a little difficult to X out friends that I see often so it's on a hold list until I get an outside opinion.

For the next few days I will be working with my brother-in-law who does printing work and he will be printing my invites! I'll have to give him the details and tell him how many I need by then.
I will also have to order a few decorations this weekend just so they come on time and I'm prepared. I like to buy my decor ahead of time so the week of the party I'm not so stressed and I only have to get the food ect.

For now I am swamped with planning! Hopefully next week I'm done with the invitations, the invite list, the music and food! All will be revealed next week if I'm done!
