OOTD: April 19, 2013

Hello everyone! Sorry for the lack of creativity in the title but I just want to show you guys what I wore today! It's been such a crazy week in schoo; finals are coming up and professors are giving deadlines for everything so excuse me if I have been MIA for the last week. But it is obligation to post on #FilmFriday! I absolutely love making videos and sharing with you guys! Hope you enjoy them!
I decided to do an outfit of the day to keep you guys entertained till next week. I really like my outfit as it is edgier than most days. I am also very into socks (knee highs, ankle highs, calf highs) they are adorable! I want to get some patterened ones so if you know a place that sells cute floral or stripe ones please let me know in the comments below! Thanks so much for reading!

What I Wore:

Inspiration Of The Day: Janis Joplin

Today, I'm taking it back to the 60's with Janis Joplin- "The Queen of Rock and Roll".
Her music reached out to thousands of people and are still listened to even though she isn't here today.
Her raspy rocker voice mixed with her bluesy take of rock and roll made the songs timeless.
I must say, her hippie style isn't my cup of tea, but she is iconic nonetheless.
Unfortunetly, throughout her career she was a drug addict and an alcoholic, which eventually killed her. That's the thing about the 60's. But all that aside, people had real talent back then. That's why I rely on my mom who has been my music appreciator and has shown me all the wonderful artists of the 1960's-1980's. So most of my music influence comes from her part. Next piece will be one of my favorite bands...... stay tuned!!

Rock N' Studs

So on a chilly night out for dinner I wore black skinnies, a dolman long sleeve tee and this amazing leather blazer! I also added my arrowhead necklace, pearl earrings and charm bracelets. I totally should have worn closed shoes on a night that was around 50-40 degrees! O.O
It was so unexpected but another reason to go shoe shopping for closed booties!

Tee: Marshalls
Jacket: Jessica Simpson
Jeans: PacSun
