OOTD: August 9, 2013

Hello girls, okay I know the title says August 9 and we're in September but I kinda got mixed up last week and thought my BTS School Bag outfit was before my BTS Clothing Haul outfit. Sorry for the mix up! Well for that video I wore one of my favorite floral dresses with a bright yellow cardigan. I love this bright cardigan cause it brings life into darker outfits. I wore a gold sparrow/swallow bird necklace and a tiny pyramid ring. This is such a simple outfit to put on (which I love cause I'm pretty lazy most days lol). I hope you girls like it and I know summer's over but this was the last summer outfit so I wanted to show you guys!

July Favorites 2013!

Hello everyone! So it's finally August and what better way to start the month than with a favorites video! I wanted to show you guys what exactly I was wearing throughout the entire month of July. July was a month that I was able to try out new outfits and play around with accessories a lot more since I went on vacation and there were a few parties I attended. Every month I like to switch things up just to not get bored of a certain item, wouldn't you agree? So, I hope you like this quick video on which items I loved the most!

June Haul!

Hello girlies! It's the end of the month and I have been shopping for summer like crazy!! Really I was just getting essentials like sunglasses, sandels and some cute dresses. So I wanted to show you what I have collected in the last month or so. Hope you guys like it!

So the first store I'll talk about is Forever 21. If you've been reading my posts for the last two years then you'll know I am an avid XXI shopper! Occasionally they won't have any great buys but on those rare occasions I find everything I'm looking for! Recently, I have found such cute items all super cheap! 

Sunglasses:

Okay, I went a little overboard and bought three pairs. Usually I like to try on sunglasses cause they always look different on my face but I just bought these online. Even though I like them I'm not in love with them. Well, it's too late to return them so I guess I will survive. 

My favorite pair are the waferer imitations. They came in a matte finish and suit my face nicely. 

Circle lenses, on the other hand, aren't that friendly to my face. I still wear them cause I really don't care but they won't be my "go-to" pair. 

Tees:

Next, I really needed some casual tees so I picked up these super cute tops! The first is a nice minty green high-low top. It's such a nice color and it has a slouchy, comfortable feel. 

The next one I bought is this gray elephant printed tee! Omg these elephants are so adorable! That's the main reason I bought it. My mom also bought me an aztect tank for the beach and the hot summer days here in MIA. Thank you!
I also purchased two cardigans ( a yellow one and an indigo color which isn't here) at Nordstrom Rack. I really wanted to widen my color options for my cardigans. Love these cause they are 3/4 sleeves and light for the summer.

Accessories:

Then I bought this super cute-edgy belt with spikes and a metal plate on the front. I've seen a lot of youtubers/bloggers wearing something similar to this. So when I found a look-a-like on XXI I had tohave it! It fits perfectly on the waist.

Zara:

As I've mentioned before I'm not a huge fan of Zara. But lately they have been coming out with great quality items. This gorgeous floral dress is from their new spring/summer collection! I absolutely adore it's flirty flare, the pockets and the low scoop of the back. I also love anything with lots of color and a floral print.

This pair of glitter shoes were on sale for $25! OMG! They are super cute and comfortable! I've been eyeing them for a while now and they finally went on sale. It's funny because I had searched the whole store for flats but couldn't find any in my size. Then, in a pile of other shoes, these babies caught my eye! And they just so happened to be in my size. Winning! hehe

The next pair of shoes I got are a tad bit more expensive but they were 40% off (originally 80 bucks down to 50!). I had been obsessed with these studded/spiked shoes which are adorable and I think I'll put them in a bell jar just to look at their beauty. hehe. Gorgeous!

I also purchased this cute, quilted, Chanel look-a-like, cross body bag for $10! Wow, it's such a joy to find things on sale!

This last item from Zara is such a steal! It cost $50 before and with the sale it was only $30. I love finding great items on sale, it's such an accomplishment!

This deep blue color is so beautiful and I love how structered this little cross-body bag is. Perfect!

Spring Lookbook 2013!

Hello my lovelies!! It's Friday and it's time to enjoy the weekend!! To start it off I put together a little Spring lookbook for you girls in warmer climates like myself. I hope you like it!! I tried to have a variety of outfits as it could be used for any time of day, whether you're shopping, having lunch, coming from the beach, going to a movie, hanging with friends... the list goes on!

Hello Lovely readers! OMG! I am so sorry about Friday as it was supposed to be Film Friday and totally failed because my internet was down. Today it finally uploaded and I am so thrilled to show you guys. I know I'm late but I hope you guys still like it!!

So I decided to just have a "current obsessions" video as I like the title better than "monthly favorites"

OOTD: Casual Burgundy

Hello lovely readers! So I showed this outfit in my OOTW January week 2 video but wanted to show you guys with actual pictures because the lightening doesnt do my outfits any justice! 

So here is one outfit I wore last week and I absolute love these levi light wash jeans, I think they are the perfect shade as I never liked "light wash" thinking it made my hips look too wide. These fit perfectly (maybe cause they're levis lol) And the top is from Zara, such a pretty color with really edgy leather details on the collar and a zipper down the back. 

I did my hair in a side braid and wore gold spike bracelets for my jewelry. 

I also decided to be a little more casual and wear my converse!

Hello Lovely readers! Yes you have seen this outfit here but I took some more pictures to show you in more detail! Unfortunetly I wasn't able to film this outfit but no worries! Got it all in the pictures below!

So it's pretty funny cause both my sweater and tee are from Zara! (to be honest, I never liked Zara because I found their clothes to be too overpriced and low quality. I guess they got the memo because a lot of their clothes have better quality.) Anyways, I absolutely love the color and have been looking for bright pieces to add to my wardrobe as I have a lot of black and white in it already lol.

But spring is coming up fast and I want to expand the color scheme. This gorgeous jewel toned cardi will definetly do the trick! I was searching for more but the colors were neutrals and so decided to stick with this one.

NOTW and Extras...

Hello Lovely readers!!! I am going to start posting my NOTW (Nails of the Week) since I usually change it up every week. I hate when my nails get chipped so I like to take the time and do them. This week they are this gorgeous purple color which is Play Date by Essie. And now that I've shown you, I think I will reveal to you guys that Lavender is my new favorite color and color of the year!! I always liked purple but I have an obsession with lavender at the moment. Soo hopefully I can get a few new things with that color scheme!!

On a side note, I also happen to love mint and it was my favorite color for 2012 and will probably continue to appear in 2013. I picked up this gorgeous floral scarf yesterday as it was on sale in Zara for only 10 bucks!! The flower print is soo pretty and the colors are perfect for upcoming spring time!

Les Misérables

Hello lovely readers! So as you can tell by the title I will be talking to you guys about the amazing movie: Les Misérables.

This is not a review, it is a glorification of the movie.

I have to tell you that I saw the original movie about four years ago. It wasn't a musical but still a wonderful movie based on the novel that goes by the same name and written by Victor Hugo.

The musical has made it into my top classical movies list in the musical genre.

Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Amanda Seyfried, and Russell Crowe were outstanding! They played their characters to the T. The singing was superb and touched my heart completely. 

I will be buying the movie and soundtrack!

I have to admit that the other actors such as Eddie Redmayne, Helena Bonham Carter, and Samantha Barks were just as amazing!! Absolutely loved the movie and every scene!

I love how there were some moments that were hopeful, like the last song that is sung in the movie. The movie ends in a good note, which leaves you with that hopefullness. Not all is lost. 

If you have yet to see the movie get off the computer and watch it at this very moment! If you already saw it, go watch it again!! It is worth watching. 

I also decided to show you guys my outfit. Ever since I got back from NY I have noticed the humidity and the heat is greater. Maybe because I was in a freezing cold place for ten days lol. None the less, all I want to wear is tee shirts. So I chose this super comfy shirt with a coold print on it, light wash jeans and sandals. Really simple and chic :)

Turquoise and Caicos

I dresses up my Zara blouse with a white pencil skirt, pink lips, and nude heels. I love anything that is simple enough to just throw on and look effortless! Hopefully I potray that image... 

Hope you guys like it, I'm completly obsessed with the color and how thin it is. Perfect all year around!
