The Blazer Trend

The Life Of A Fashion Queen Series:
Series #1

This is the first post of the series of The Life Of A Fashion Queen and we'll start off with one of my ultimate favorite trends! Blazers are so versatile and chic, not only can they be worn in the fall but also any other season! For spring and summer and light cotten or linen blazer is perfect for those sunny days just to tie the whole outfit together. In the fall and winter a thicker jacket with darker or brighter colors. If you've been watching the online stores change every few months you've also noticed blazers always stay on top. But there are different styles for those of us who like longer, shorter, slimmer or looser jackets.

With the different styles of blazers sometimes it's hard to match your outfit up. As a Fashionista we strive to look put together so here are a few tips on what you'll want to look for and how you can pair your blazer up.

The BoyFriend Blazer

An oversize, slouchy jacket that can easily be pair over a simple top and a pair of shorts like in the picture to the left. This is my favorite way to pair this blazer since I like to show off my figure and this blazer is just a bit shapeless.

If you're more into wearing over a nice spring dress then that works perfectly well too!
In the fall/winter when it's cold outside you can pair this blazer over a long pants jumpsuit and add a statement necklace or a scarf for color and sparkle.

Check out a few more outfits.

The Slim Fit Blazer

This blazer gives you shape in all the right places. It's one of my favorites since I am very petite and strive to not look so bulky with baggy clothes. This blazer looks the best in my opinion. It's feminine, slimming, and classy.

To pull it off you can pretty much through it over any outfit but I would pair it with looser tops, dresses or jumpsuits that don't really show off your form so you can cinch up your waist and show off the hourglass figure. Whether you're going to work, out on the town or catching a movie a jacket like this can make you the envy of others. It brings confidence to yourself when you feel like a million bucks and yet you only spent at most $40 on a good quality blazer. More on the budget after.

Reds, oranges, and bright colors are in this fall season!

The Cropped Blazer

A new version of the original blazer is the cropped version. Her Kim Kardasian is stunning in her neutral outfit with a shiny silver cropped blazer that completes her outfit. She paired it with a plain white tee, black skinny jeans, knee high boots, a black Hermes back, and black and white scarf.

But pairing a cropped blazer with skinnys and a tee isn't the only way to rock this look.

*Again you can pair it with a loose or fitted dress-either long or short.

*If you'd like a blouse and skirt.

*Another possible option is a tank and trousers.

*My favorite is pairing it with a tucked in button up and printed shorts.

*Another favorite is pairing a blazer with a bodysuit! The bodysuit is nice and snug so the arms of the blazer don't feel tight at all!

Fashionista on a BUDGET!
Sometimes we ask ourselves if we can trully cut back from the goods in the market. Many of you will say no way! It's hard to go into a store see everything you like and just walk back out because the prices are just too high! But I'm gonna tell you a few tips. We all try to look for sales, but that doesn't always work. So we have to find other ways to get what we want.

Here are a few tips:

*Look for sales: It's the first one and the most obvious one but it's also the truest. If we have a budget but there are a few items we're looking for we have to look at the sales and choose the best one.

*Make a list of your needs: Whenever we go shopping we might get overwhelmed, but the key to staying on track is making a list of your needs. Look through your closet before you go shopping and see what can stay and what has to go. Keep the list short, specific and to the point. We don't want to many options just so we can't decide what to buy and get frustrated.

*Trends and Staples: When buying a trend don't go for the most expensive option the trend will be gone in just a few weeks. When buying a staple buy the item of good quality.

*Budget of the Month: When you set your desired budget do NOT go over no matter what. Be frugal with your money and don't spend on a whim. Keep the budget the whole month and you'll see that you will get use to not going overboard.

*If you're not 100% happy don't buy or just return it! There's no point in buying something just because it's a beautiful piece. Buy things you fall in love with because those are the items that won't get stuck in the back of the closet for the next 5 years.

*Take a partner in crime: Being by yourself shopping is lonely and can discourage any savvy shopper. So bring your friend, sister, spouse or mom. Make sure they are there for you and tell you the truth.

Hope This article has helped a few other fashionistas striving to be as fashionable as they can be! here are my favorite shops that are selling blazers or might be in the future! Cheap, good quality, and fashionable.
