GRWM Gaga Concert [Makeup + Outfit]

Hello lovelies! So today I have another video post for you guys! I've decided to continuing updating my blog this way because it is easier to talk about my video (and at the same time my life and what is going on this week) and I also think that sometimes people will want to see more pictures of a certain makeup look or item or they want to read more about it. My videos are usually around 5 minutes long (at least I like to keep the average amount of my videos in this time slot) because I want to give my audience a quick and easy tutorial whether it is hair, makeup, or an outfit.
Longer videos are for product reviews that need more detail. And I am also venturing into the vlog department as well. I use this platform as a memory so that I can look back to all the wonderful moments in my life and see the process I went through, my first thoughts, and reactions.
This is one of those moments. If you've been with me since I first started back in 2009-2010 then you'd know I love Lady Gaga (concerts in general but Gaga is #1). I had only been to one concert before in 2011 The Monster Ball (watch my old *cringe worthy* video here ). So when she announced her Born This Way Ball I was completely physched! But then she had to cancel because of her torn hip ligament or something like. Bummer!! Almost six months pass when she announces the Artpop Ball!! This one I could not miss! So a year later, May 4, 2014 (three years after The Monster Ball) I was seeing Mother Monster again. This time I had really great seats (curtosy of a black card that I will pay back at some point lol). I do wish that one day I can stand in the monster pit and look up three feet above me and see that blonde hair waving around franticlly. But this is all a dream (maybe?)
Anyway, I went with my sister, one of my friends, and my mom (yes! my momma haha she's a trooper for taking me to all these concerts but she likes Gaga I swear!). We had such a blast getting ready and during the show.
I do have to mention this though, the opening act Lady Starlight, was a complete bust. I'm not sure if they were trying to go for that EDM/ rave music vibe but it sucked. At least for me it did. The beat was constant throughout the entire hour. My ears just didn't like it at all. But it made hearing Lady Gaga 10X better lol.
Another thing I wanted to mention was that there were these two girls (girls? they were in their mid-twenties I believe) who were very rude to my mother. I get very protective and I hate when people talk down to my very educated, and respectable mother. There is no need for that. Especially in a Gaga concert where everyone is "equal". I don't judge people and I sure aren't rude to them (within and without of the concert). I expected more from this crowd because Gaga promotes this kindness, this respect, and this behavior to be considerate towards others. Nothing wrong with dancing and having a good time in your seat . But please, don't block the view of others by standing in the aisles (something that isn't really allowed anyway) and waving your arms up so much that no one can get a good picture. (Almost all my pictures have an arm in the way. I know it's uncontrollable but these people were really excessive. I love throwing my arms up in the air too but I am aware that I am not the only one there. There are others who want to take pictures, who want to see, and want to dance. Who am I to impede them from having a good time? They didn't come to see me dance or sing, they paid money to see the artist and that's what we need to think about before we disturb the crowd around us. We are all there to see the artist so let's enjoy and be considerate).
Okay, now that my rant is over back to the Gaga Concert. It was incredible. Most of her songs are very sexual so it's a bit embarrassing to sit next to your mother while she sings XXX Dreams and G.U.Y, ect. But what can you do! Gaga was very beautiful with her 10 (?) costume changes and 16 (?) songs. I especially loved the beginning outfit and the ending outfit! I thought she looked gorgeous.
With the Artrave she went with a very physchodelic/ Alice in Wonderland/ high on drugs feel. It was very bubbly and artsy (lol she made a comment about that during the show). I loved it but God do I wish she spoke to the audience more. In the Monstar Ball she would stop after each song or two and speak to us, just talking and incouraging. She did do that right before she sang BTW but I wanted to hear her speak more. I feel like this ball didn't have a story line (like there wa in TMB) but I still loved it and had a wonderful time. I just hope that next time it's a bit more planned out.

So when I got home that night (around 1:30 am) I laid in bed to think about what and how I would make this video for you guys. I knew I wanted to because I loved the makeup I came up with but I wanted it to be as fun as possible. So I did something different and I filmed outside! The lighting is so perfect that you guys are going to wish/force me to film outside more often. I think I will soon enough. At least for my outfit videos. I really hope you guys like this video. If you guys read this whole post then you deserve a gold star and a cookie because, Jesus, this is long.
If you didn't I don't blame you at all. That's why I have this video for you guys!
I know it's a bit on the longer side but to exclude something would make it less perfect and I can't do that. I hope you enjoy it and let me know if you do in the comments below or on youtube.
Have a wonder weekend beautifuls and remember

Inspiration Of The Day: Mother Monster

I have no idea why I haven't done a post on Lady Gaga!! I know there are so many out there already but come on! You can't go wrong with talking about the Mother Monster! Her style, though quite controversial and eccentric, it is one of a kind. This is something we ALL strive to have, don't we? But she executes her outfits well. She also presents herself in a glamorous and over the top way! She never apologizes for being true to herself and bravo for her! Many people in this world want to be drabby old cookie cutter clones. But why must we be told what to do?! No! We have to be unique and spontaneous in everything we do and through our clothes we can share what's truly in our souls. Who's to tell us what to wear!
She is beautiful, talented and has an amazing vision! I remember when I went to my first concert which happened to be The Monster Ball! It was inspirational and I will NEVER forget it! She cries with all her little monsters and shows us that she cares! I can't wait to attend Born This Way Ball!
BTW doesn't she just look gorgeous in the photo below!! OMG!

A Visit to Gaga's Work Shop @ Barneys New York!

OMG! I can't believe I went to Gaga's Workshop inside Barneys New York! AH! Best time ever, it was so Gaga and at the same time not enough! I have to admit I found everything to be super overpriced (seriously a lolipop for $25??) But I was able to but a special little item! Though I would have never paid $35 for it! I had to it was a little piece of Gaga and needed to have it in my wardrobe or else I would regret it!!
Even though the opening was last week (can't believe I missed Gaga again! always happens!) The store was completely crowded and it was scorching hot! I went around twice and took pictures of most of the attractions! Let me know if you had a chance to visit! Enjoy the pictures!!

Secrets To Looking Stylish

The Life Of A Fashion Queen Series:
Series #2

Secrets To Looking Stylish: Grooming

For anyone who loves fashion and is obsessed as much as the next fashionista, it is inconcievable to look unstylish at any moment of our day. Every outfit we put on has to define our personality and the vibe we want to give off. We pride ourselves in looking good and we take our time so we feel good too! But putting together an impeccable outfit isn't always so simple. We may see others on the internet, our favorite blogger for example, who have these amazing outfits and they look beautiful no matter what they are wearing! It's almost outrages to see them going out in a casual tee and some skinny jeans but for some reason they look like a million bucks! We envy them and want to have that kind of talent as well. So let me tell you there is a way! Don't think it has anything to do with how much an item of clothing costs! It seriously doesn't. The real secret is in grooming. Yes! Grooming! What I mean is hair and make-up, if you have those two key parts of an outfit down packed then you are set for life.

Let's break down a few key categories I think are the most important ones when prepairing and outfit.

Hair:

Hair defines who we are and is something we are constantly changing every day, every moment. An easy way to stand out instantly is through our hair! Whether it's our hair cut, color, or style it identifies us as individuals. In that case, we should always take care of it and not torture it too much with heated tools or treatments. Take care of your hair and treat it right.
When we start off our day we should style our hair flawlessly or as much as possible. It's not always easy and takes a lot of practice! We don't all have our own hair stylist at the ready to beautify us every morning, so we must learn from our youtube friends. Once you've managed those locks you'll feel like your outfit is already taking form, in just moments you begin to transform into your stylish self.

Make-up:

This is another important key to pulling your outfit together and over the edge of ordinary! When we add just a little bit of natural looking make up to inhance our beautiful features it gives you a more polished look. If you love your eyes concentrate on that specific portion of your face, add eyeliner or just mascara to line your eyes and define them. If you want to add a neutrual eye shadow like brown tones or beiges. Learn all you can about the colors and shapes that work the best for you skin tone and eye shape it will help out a lot if you are wearing make up that looks natural and isn't unflattering.
If you prefer your lips then make sure to choose a shade that also complements your skin color and goes with the outfit you are wearing. You can even play up your cheeks and add a bit more blush or bronzer to make them look contoured. In the end it's all about completing the look you are going for. Most of the time we prefer to use make up to inhance our natural beauty so don't forget to just add a little at any moment to give you just a boost of confidence.

Fashionista on a Budget:

When grooming you don't have to use so much money on products, here are a few tips on how to save:

*Hair is a major up keep for any one who loves healthy looking hair. You need to go get a hair cut or trim every 3 months so it can stay healthy and strong. If the salon is costing too much consider cutting your hair yourself or going to a friend who knows how to cut hair. There are also Beauty Schools that are training students and you can get a pretty cheap cut there.

*If you color treat your hair consider doing it at home if you are comfortable with that techinique. Also, I've recently learned that you do not need to buy super expensive shampoo and conditioner to keep your hair soft and silky after treating it. What you need is a good moisture cream for styling it after. Avoid using heated tools which can dry hair and create split ends. Try a natural hairstyle, braids or headbands.

*Make-up is pretty much all the same. Find one that doesn't irritate your skin or dry it. Drug store products for mascara and lipsticks are fine. But find a good quality fondation. Basic make up products are: eyeliner, mascara, a few lipsticks, blush, bronzer, foundation, concealer, and face cream.

Here are a few pictures of day and night make up.

Leave a comment below if you have found any helpful tips or products that are worth trying!
Live a stylish life!

In the next series I will talk about how to be stylish with accessories!

Here are pictures of how Gaga works her colored hair and looks beautiful. Her make up is also very simple and fits her look.

The Blazer Trend

The Life Of A Fashion Queen Series:
Series #1

This is the first post of the series of The Life Of A Fashion Queen and we'll start off with one of my ultimate favorite trends! Blazers are so versatile and chic, not only can they be worn in the fall but also any other season! For spring and summer and light cotten or linen blazer is perfect for those sunny days just to tie the whole outfit together. In the fall and winter a thicker jacket with darker or brighter colors. If you've been watching the online stores change every few months you've also noticed blazers always stay on top. But there are different styles for those of us who like longer, shorter, slimmer or looser jackets.

With the different styles of blazers sometimes it's hard to match your outfit up. As a Fashionista we strive to look put together so here are a few tips on what you'll want to look for and how you can pair your blazer up.

The BoyFriend Blazer

An oversize, slouchy jacket that can easily be pair over a simple top and a pair of shorts like in the picture to the left. This is my favorite way to pair this blazer since I like to show off my figure and this blazer is just a bit shapeless.

If you're more into wearing over a nice spring dress then that works perfectly well too!
In the fall/winter when it's cold outside you can pair this blazer over a long pants jumpsuit and add a statement necklace or a scarf for color and sparkle.

Check out a few more outfits.

<-Love this color

Even Gaga can Rock a blazer!       -->

The Slim Fit Blazer

This blazer gives you shape in all the right places. It's one of my favorites since I am very petite and strive to not look so bulky with baggy clothes. This blazer looks the best in my opinion. It's feminine, slimming, and classy.

To pull it off you can pretty much through it over any outfit but I would pair it with looser tops, dresses or jumpsuits that don't really show off your form so you can cinch up your waist and show off the hourglass figure. Whether you're going to work, out on the town or catching a movie a jacket like this can make you the envy of others. It brings confidence to yourself when you feel like a million bucks and yet you only spent at most $40 on a good quality blazer. More on the budget after.

Reds, oranges, and bright colors are in this fall season!

The Cropped Blazer

A new version of the original blazer is the cropped version. Her Kim Kardasian is stunning in her neutral outfit with a shiny silver cropped blazer that completes her outfit. She paired it with a plain white tee, black skinny jeans, knee high boots, a black Hermes back, and black and white scarf.

But pairing a cropped blazer with skinnys and a tee isn't the only way to rock this look.

*Again you can pair it with a loose or fitted dress-either long or short.

*If you'd like a blouse and skirt.

*Another possible option is a tank and trousers.

*My favorite is pairing it with a tucked in button up and printed shorts.

*Another favorite is pairing a blazer with a bodysuit! The bodysuit is nice and snug so the arms of the blazer don't feel tight at all!

Fashionista on a BUDGET!
Sometimes we ask ourselves if we can trully cut back from the goods in the market. Many of you will say no way! It's hard to go into a store see everything you like and just walk back out because the prices are just too high! But I'm gonna tell you a few tips. We all try to look for sales, but that doesn't always work. So we have to find other ways to get what we want.

Here are a few tips:

*Look for sales: It's the first one and the most obvious one but it's also the truest. If we have a budget but there are a few items we're looking for we have to look at the sales and choose the best one.

*Make a list of your needs: Whenever we go shopping we might get overwhelmed, but the key to staying on track is making a list of your needs. Look through your closet before you go shopping and see what can stay and what has to go. Keep the list short, specific and to the point. We don't want to many options just so we can't decide what to buy and get frustrated.

*Trends and Staples: When buying a trend don't go for the most expensive option the trend will be gone in just a few weeks. When buying a staple buy the item of good quality.

*Budget of the Month: When you set your desired budget do NOT go over no matter what. Be frugal with your money and don't spend on a whim. Keep the budget the whole month and you'll see that you will get use to not going overboard.

*If you're not 100% happy don't buy or just return it! There's no point in buying something just because it's a beautiful piece. Buy things you fall in love with because those are the items that won't get stuck in the back of the closet for the next 5 years.

*Take a partner in crime: Being by yourself shopping is lonely and can discourage any savvy shopper. So bring your friend, sister, spouse or mom. Make sure they are there for you and tell you the truth.

Hope This article has helped a few other fashionistas striving to be as fashionable as they can be! here are my favorite shops that are selling blazers or might be in the future! Cheap, good quality, and fashionable.

Lady GaGa Concert! April 13,2011 MIA

OMG Last night was the Lady GAGA Concert and it was FAMAZING!!!! I loveeedddd it soo much!! LOL Gaga was my first ever concert and she preformed so energetically. Plus she has a tremendous voice! For the opening act it was Semi Precious Metals which sorta left me deaf and bleeding through one ear. But they were okay not my favorite band and nothing compared to Gaga! She performed almost all her hit songs (Money Honey, BoysBoysBoys, Beautiful Dirty Rich, LoveGame, Paparrazzi, PokerFace, Born This Way twice, Monster, Dance In The Dark, Glitter and Grease, Alejandro, Teeth, Telephone, and of course BAD ROMANCE which to me was the best performance!)

For my outfit I wore leather leggings with a "Bite Me" T shirt and a studded black blazer. I wore red hi top converse, pearl earings and did a smokey eyes make up. Red lips with black on the outer corners. For make up I found inspiration in Bad Romance the last scene she appears in after taking off her white sunglasses and shes about to burn the guy.

Hope you guys like it. I loved that concert!! Best memory I will have forever!

xoxo
