2012 Blogging Goals: Revisited

Today is the last day of December! So much has happened in the last twelve months that it's hard to keep up at times. But here we are, we all made it to the end. And since it's the end of the year, I wanted to see how far I've come my SECOND year of blogging!!

My blog's anniversary is coming up so I hope you guys are getting excited, I plan to have a little something special for my followers :) But let's revist the goals I had at the beginning of the year:

1. Publish 100 posts or more! I was totally able to reach it this year and it's all of you who read my blog and inspire me to continue posting. I truly couldn't have done it without you! So Thank you!!

2. Buy a pair of Jeffrey Campbells: Well this is still an ongoing goal lol! Sometimes our priorities change throughout the year. 

3. Inspire others with my posts: I guess this is a personal one that I'll never truly know if I succeed but I like to think that I have inspired someone out there.

Vampy Look with Dark Lips

So I've been dying to get this lipstick ever since my good friend and now blogger, Rockabella, bought it awhile back. I love the vampy feel and the deep red. Mac lipsticks are my favorite! So now that I have this color it is the perfect way to show you how it looks with a new Vampy Makeup Tutorial Dark Lips edition! Hope you guys like it!

The Want List Revisted: November 2012

So I was able to purchase the only item I had in my November Favorites 
This has to be my greatest splurge! I bought myself these Steve Madden combat boots, style Troopa. They are just too amazing! I'm crazy about them! I can't wait to show you guys how I style them. They are so comfy and fun to wear! 

Oxblood

The new trend for winter has taken the fashion world by storm! I don't say "burgundy" anymore, instead I say "Oxblood". It sounds so much cooler and dramatic! I love it. 

I bought these new nailpolish colors from Essie that I totally fell in love with! (I actually have 2 new Oxblood colors Bahama Mama --which is more purple-- and Wicked --which is more reddish.)

These have to be my two favorites for this winter! You will be seeing them in a lot of videos!

Packing for a Winter Trip + Tips

Hello Lovely readers! It's been crazy this past week because I had my final for my last class yesterday! I'm finally done with the first semester of college! To be honest, it's not what I expected. I thought it would be more fun, but really it's a lot of boring work lol. Well thank God I have two weeks off and for the first half of the vacation I'll be in NY. (Though it's a terrible time to go.)

Nonetheless, I will be showing you girls what I pack for my winter trip. 

Last year I did a video on how to pack lightly and it was around November so it was more of fall outfits. This time I'm showing you what winter appropriate outfits I'm bringing. 

I decided to stay in the gray-black-blue color scheme so everything matches.

Winter Fashion Tips:

1. Replace bracelets and rings with gloves! There are some super cute gloves out there at the moment, and this way your hands stay nice and warm!

2. Hats are perfect to change up an outfit.

3. Scarves is another perfect way to spice up an outfit.

4. Lipsticks are key to brighten your face and add color!

5. Layering is essential if you want to stay warm and can easily be fashionable! 

Inspiration Of The Day: Janis Joplin

Today, I'm taking it back to the 60's with Janis Joplin- "The Queen of Rock and Roll". 

Her music reached out to thousands of people and are still listened to even though she isn't here today. 

Her raspy rocker voice mixed with her bluesy take of rock and roll made the songs timeless. 

I must say, her hippie style isn't my cup of tea, but she is iconic nonetheless. 

Unfortunetly, throughout her career she was a drug addict and an alcoholic, which eventually killed her. That's the thing about the 60's. But all that aside, people had real talent back then. That's why I rely on my mom who has been my music appreciator and has shown me all the wonderful artists of the 1960's-1980's. So most of my music influence comes from her part. Next piece will be one of my favorite bands...... stay tuned!!

Makeup Buys: Kate Moss + Brush Travel Set

Hello Lovelies! So excited to show you afew new beauty buys. Watching some videos on Youtube I saw that the fabulous and very well known model Kate Moss teamed up with Rimmel to produce a collection on lipsticks! They were completely sold out in one Walgreens so I headed to another just a few blocks away and they had the colors I wanted. (These two at least, I wanted a few more but they were sold out as well.) I absolutely love them! They smell so good haha. 

The color of the first one 08 is a really nice pinkish brown. 

04 is a nice purple but I was upset that it was pretty sheer. It wears off so easily, I have to make sure my lips don't rub together or else the lipstick disappears! That's my only con about 04, since it's the only one that has happened. 

I would love to purchase a cherry red on, if they have. These lipsticks are actually quite cheap! Around 4 dollars. So go try them out!

As for my second buy, it's a small travel brush set. Aren't they adorable!? I've been thinking about getting some travel brushes ever since I saw the super cute MAC brush set at the mall. Of course, I don't want to shell out $50 for a pack of brushes. (Even though I love their brushes, the quality is superb) So I deceided to just stick to this natural bran, which I have to admit the bristles are super soft and they don't shed as much as some other brushes. It brings 6 brushes for $10.
