It was pretty difficult taking pictures of the outfits I wore but I was able to take some photos of the top half! For pants I wore dark blue jeggings and for shoes I wore white hi top converse that look a lot like basket ball sneakers.
PS: I was unable to wear my gray cargo pants since they were extremely tight and uncomfortable! -.-

I love traveling comfortably but fashionably so I chose these very comfy jeans/jeggings. I also wore a black longsleeve tee, white leather hi tops from converse, a black beanie and a bright red scarf to add color to all the black! I also added a black fringe bag and a leather jacket.

OOTD: Silk Dresses

So today I was decided to go all out and based my outfit around green and gold loving the combination. I wore a silk green and creme dress with a floral kind of pattern. I paired it with very light creme colored Micheal Kors strappy heels that have a wooden heel. I also wore golden stackable rings and a leaf ring all with small diamonds. I also wore golde vintage earings and my make up was very simple. My hair was done in loose waves. Since it's been pretty chilly down here I wore a gold or very dark mustard colored scarf! Which I was extremely happy about since it's my favorite accessory!

Rings: Stackable set :Forever 21
           Leaf ring: Macy's
Earings: Vintage
Dress: Vertigo Paris (Marshalls I think or Macy's) Not sure!
Shoes: Micheal Kors

What a little time does and a little dye

So it hasn't been that long since I dyed my hair a very orangy brown/blonde kind of color. The color has faded a bit but there still is a huge difference from the dark brown I use to be! The before picture is the one to the left (obviously the darker shade!) and the after picture is the one on the right! It's been four months since I dyed my hair and I haven't cut the ends since May. I'm in serious need of a trimming! But I like my color and wont change it until I go back to my original hair! By now I already have 2 inch roots growing in but I love it because now I can achieve the ombre effect in my hair. Hopefully it works out! I'll let you guys know in a few months!

OOTD: Tribal Print

I finall was able to own something tribal print! Though the trend is pretty much over I still love it and rarely guide myself by the "rules of fashion". These shorts use to be harem pants but I reconstructed them into highwaisted shorts which I paired with a black crew neck, vintage spiral earrings, and a pair of gladiators. Hope you guys like my video and pictures! Let me know your ideas! There's so many ways to wear just one particular item of clothing! LOVE IT!

New York Weekend Trip

Hey everyone! By the title of this post you may already know that I'm headed up to New York for a long weekend trip!! I'll be staying up there with my family for about 6 days! I haven't visited since last year and man it feels like ages!! I love New York always have from the first time I visited!! It's an amazing city! Any part of it is breathtaking! Though it's crazy, crowded and confusing I adore the big apple! But everytime I go I have the problem of over packing! AH! So this time I'm going to pack light and it will be my goal for the trip! So here we go!

How to Pack Light for a Weekend Trip to New York:
The weather will be between the 60's to the 40's. I'm really hoping it stays between that temperature. Rememeber the colder the more layers you'll need. So check the weather the week before you leave to get an accurate estimate of the temperature.
Unfortunetly I wont be staying in New York City this time I am going to be in New Jersey for the weekend with family. Which means I wont be walking around as much so I wont get a lot of my things dirty with rain, dirt, or sludge. I do plan on heading into the city as often as possible though! I plan to be minimelistic about what I bring with me and only bring the neccessities and a few favorite accessories to tie everything together.
Here is a list of what I am taking:

-2 pairs of pants
-5 longsleeve shirts
-1 hoodie
-2 hats
-3 scarfs
-socks
-1leather jacket
-1 coat
-1 pairs of pajamas
-under garmets

Your list may vary but this is just to give you a general idea of what you can take as basics.
Here are a few pictures and a video on how I packed super light for my trip!

Upgraded Phone!

Hey Everyone!! I can't believe it but I got the new Iphone 4s!! It's amazing and beautiful!! Always loved the square shape. I was able to upgrade my old phone but what makes this phone so special is that it was a gift from my daddy@ I love him so much! Thank you!!

PS: Now I can post my blogs on the go!

Nails Done For The Weekend

We all love being pampered! Nails just got done still have to clean the edges a bit but had to share!
Wearing Essie Marshmallow.

I Dream of Paris!

Paris, France: The Dream of all Dreams!

If you were able to go to France what would you do? Who hasn't dreamed of going to the city of lights and romance! It's one of the most beautiful cities, and even country in the world! It's an icon for every fashionista since so many amazing designers have been founded there! I can't stop tinking of traveling abroad and one place that's at the top of my list is Paris!
I was lucky enough to go once with my whole family a few years ago but it was so unfortunet that I was a child and not the fashionista I am today.. That's why I plan to take another trip to France and other places in Europe to again relive the moment in the city that breathes fashion! Let's take a step in to the dream world and visit Pairs through our minds! ...

Upon arriving I wouldn't even dare to miss the oppurtunity to immediately go sight seeing! Whether it's a short tour bus or on foot I would love to get as much as I can out of my trip! The city of Paris is so magical and dream like who really cares if you're tired or your feet hurt! You're in Paris! Enjoy it and take advantage to the MAX!
Many would love to stay at a luxury hotel and for those who can do so go for it! But as for myself I've got a major budget so I would choose a more economical hotel that isn't right in the middle of the busy scene. Those hotels are always more expensive since it is a main tourist spot. Try looking for a hotel just a few miles away. Don't forget, Paris is almost like New York. Everyone is in motion, there's taxis and cars everywhere and there's a subway underground!
It's always good to be polite especially in a place where locals are always visiting. To them you're kind of just a tourist and they are in a hurry to get to work or anywhere else they might need to go.
So remember to bring a map and translator! Don't want to get lost!
There's so much to see in Paris! The Eiffel Tower, Versailles Palace, the Louvre Museum, Arc de Triomphe, Notre Dame Cathedral, Champs-Elysees, Sacre-Coeur, Place Vendome, Chateau de Vincennes, Sainte-Chapelle, Pont Alexandre III, and Montmartre.
Those are just the main sights to see! But there are other unknown or not as visited sights that are worth your time. Remember Paris shouldn't be rushed so plan according to your location and the time you have.

Here are a few places worth your time: Musee d'Orsay, the boat tour of the Seine River (amazing!), Le Jardin des Tuileries, Le Quartier Latin, Les Catacombs de Paris, Le Jardin de Luxemburg, Arc du Carrousel, Cirque D'Hiver- sometimes hosts circus performances in the winter, Rodin Museum, Palais Bourbon, Park Montsoouris- A beautiful romantic park, the Moulin Rouge, Palais Royal, Galeries Lafayette-department store, Conciergerie, Pantheon, Pont Neuf and there are many small shops and main plazas to find vintage and authentic French items! Try to visit the famouse French Flea Market Les Puces De Saint-Ouen or Les Puces. There are other many flea markets, here's a quick tip: get there early and make sure to have all the information and directions correct and handy! Another flea market in Paris is the Porte de Vanves which is near the Porte de Vanves metro stop.

Now that we have the sight-seeing pretty much down packed I have to mention that the restuarants are a must in Paris! The one place we continued to visit was Pizza Pino, they are pretty much everywhere! Ask the hotel receptionist what are the closest and most recomended restuarants in the area and also try and visit some outside the area you're in. Be adventurous and try anything atleast once! Experiance Paris like a true Parisian. Oh and don't forget to drink your coffee with either a croissant or a biscuit!

I know many Fashionistas are going to want to look fabulous and they will want to bring there whole wardrobe. I advice against it! Here are some tips:

*Lay out everything and then cut out half of it!
*Bring things that match together.
*Know the weather! That way you can have an idea of what kind of clothes to bring.
*Bring flats if you're going to be walking A LOT!
*You can still be stylish and pack light!
*Remember there will be shopping! So leave some space to bring back your purchases!

Paris is a dream of mine and this time around I want to do it with style!

Stay tuned for my next travel post.

The Want List Revisited: February 2011

So this is the second Want List I am revisiting to see if I was able to accomplish some items in this list and thankfully I was! I love going through old post and seeing what I use to want and then realizing I was able to obtain them! In this list it's mostly floral items and necklaces here's what I was able to get!

1. A Floral skirt! I know I originally wanted shorts, dresses and tops but I couldn't find any that really were what I was looking for. So we must make do with what we find. Skirt from Macys

The above necklace were from Forever 21 and the gold leaf necklace to the right is from Macys.

There are many places to get these kinds of items, I mostly found them in Forever 21 and Macys because I shop there the most. But we can still find them in Walmart, Target, TJMaxx, Marshalls, H&M, Gap, Topshop, Urban Outfitters and many other shops!

Inspiration of the Day!

Twiggy
If it's her big huge eyes or her lushes lashes, there is something about Twiggy that makes her a fashion Icon! She was the face of the 60's, before her there was no model like her in appearance!
She brought a new image to fashion. She embraced her features and worked wonders! She'll always be an inspiration to me.

I can't believe she was only 5'6" and she was a teenager when she got started! Look at how much success she has had since her first head shots for a hair dresser! What I would love to know is how to achieve those amazing lashes!

How To Clean Your Closet

How to clean your closet 101

This next article is about how we are able to get rid of the old items in our closet to make room for new ones. If you open your closet and can't seem to find one piece of clothing that you have in mind then you know it's time to clean out a few things. Here's an article where I give you my personal experiance of cleaning closets regularly. Yes regularly! Why, you may ask, well because we go shopping every so often and grow out of our previous buys. So to make room it's out with the old, in with the new!
Let's get started! BTW This method can also be used in drawers.

- First things first you will want to take out every single piece of clothing from your closet.

- Make a pile for blouses, tees, long sleeves, dresses, sweaters, cardigans, jackets, jumpsuits, and pants which include shorts and jeans.

- When you have seperated all your clothes go through each pile carefully. At this point you want to get rid of any piece of clothing you haven't worn in 6 months to over a year. I guarantee, from personal experiance, you wont wear it again.

- Don't forget to take out shirts or pants that don't fit or don't go with your style anymore. We need to make room and organize the clothes you have left.

- When you have finished seperating the clothes you are going to keep you're almost ready to organize them. Keep in mind you can donate your clothes to a Goodwill, Salvation Army, thrift store, or a consignment shop that gives you some money for your used clothes.

- There are many ways to organize your closet but I usually use two methods in one.
   * First I seperate all my colored tee shirts into appropriate colors. EX: Black tees together, purple tees together, and every other color you have.
   * Begin to put your colored tees back into your closet.
 - Next seperate by category. Tanks, tees, blouses. Once you have hung up your shirts lets move on to the next category.
- Seperate your cardigans, jackets, and heavier sweaters. Either place them in the back or front of your closet.
- After you can place your day dresses, night dresses and party dresses going from the front of your closet towards the back.
- Now we have our jeans, shorts and jumpsuits left, organize them by length and place them behind your tee shirts.

If you have organized your shoes on the floor of your closet make sure you actually wear those shoes, they fit you and are in good condition.

If you have shelves on top of your closet you can use that for your purses.

By now your closet space should have increased at least 20% or more!

Helpful Tip:

While you clean out your closet remember to look for those signature pieces that can add to your wardrobe. The ones that stand out the most are keepers. Just remember to have something to pair it with!

The Want List Revisited: January 2011

So I went back to the beginning of my blog where I had posted a blog about a want list. The want list is sorta like a wish list but with the outcome of actually obtaining the items on the list. I am happy to say that before the year is over I have been able to get a few items on the list! A lot I noticed were gloves and unfortunetly could not find a pair anywhere that I really trully liked. But here are the items I was able to buy!

1. I was able to finally find this spike necklace! I know it's not the spike bracelet I wanted but it's soo awesome! From Forever 21

2. I also was able to buy this super soft and gorgeous green cheetah print scarf last year in Forever 21
