Vampy Makeup Look with Nude Lips

Hello Lovely readers! How are you guys this afternoon? It's been such a strange gloomy day, reminds me of London. It's a perfect day to just cuddle up in bed, watch movies or read a good book (or blog in this case hehe). But, for the people with lots and lots of work to do it was tough to get up!
Only got up to post this video for your guys so I really hope you like it!
I love this makeup look so much, it's not as dramatic as other bloggers/youtubers versions. But I wanted to give you guys a more natural look, with just lots of mascara and a nudish lip.
Enjoy the vid!
Inspired by Bryony! She's amazing click HERE for her video!

What I used:

Book Review: I Am Number Four

So I was super excited when "I am number Four" came out but waited until it was out on DVD to watch it. It was a really good movie with great special FX, a good story and the ending leaves you wanting more. I hope they make another follow up. I'm really into alien movies and superhero type of stories! (as I write this I'm thinking of watching it again since it's been awhile.)
But now I will talk about the book which in my opinion wasn't exactly up to par. I say this because I expect a lot when it comes to books. I started reading the book back in the summer, maybe June. I just finished it last week on Friday. Why it took me so long well because it wasn't as entertaining as I expected it to be. Some of the story was confusing and boring. Is it because it was two authors collaborating with each other and just didn't quiet work out in the end? Or because I watched the movie first and it affected my opinion of the book? I have no idea what it was but it has taken me forever to read this book and in the end it wasn't that great. I love the history of it, the powers and the new ideas they have brought in but the way it was executed wasn't the best.
I still struggled through it because it's one of the alien books I've been wanting to read for a while.
Yet I don't know if I'll read the next book "The Power of Six"
I probably will because I never leave a series unfinished.

Have you guys read this book? Or any alien/superhero books?

For the days when the sun shines...

Hello everyone! I wanted to open up the week with an outfit post! Here's my outfit that I wore some time last week, it was a fairly cool morning, didn't wear a sweater but opted for this geometric designed scarf. The scarf is really thin but I wraped it around my neck about 3 times! I also wore it with this baggy tee, which is in my favorite color: lavender! This is such a beautiful color and I just can't stop looking at it! I opted for some intense blush on my cheeks (which isn't noticeable in the pics) and a nude lip. Black skinnies, converse and some black studs for my earings.
Enjoy the pictures!

What I wore:
Baggy Tee: American Rag (Macys)
Jeans: Abbey Dawn Kohls
Shoes: Converse
Scarf: Forever 21

Miami International Book Fair + Beautiful Creatures Meet & Greet!

Hello everyone! I've been dying to show you guys the pictures I took at the book fair last week! It was such a surreal experience, I met two authors of one of my favorite books! Beautiful Creatures, which is now a movie coming out February 13, 2013! I was so happy to be there (it's my dream to be a published author one day!) The conference was very intimate with just a few people, maybe around 30-40 people showed up. I loved it because we didn't have such a crazy crowd! The signing was great! I was able to talk to the authors, Kami Garcia and Margaret Stohl.
I also meet two of the cast members! Zoey Deutch (Emily)
and Alden Ehrenreich! (Ethan)
It was such a wonderful experience!
I talk more about it in the video! Thanks for watching :)

Peter Rabbit Cottontail! So adorable!

At the conference room with the actors and the authors!

With the amazing Authors! Kami Garcia (left), Margaret Stohl(middle) and I!

With the beautiful Zoey Deutch and the handsome Alden Ehrenreich!

My book all signed by the authors and cast!

Inspiration Of The Day: Cher Lloyd

I actually wasn't a fan of Cher in the beginning but I quickly changed my mind after watching the music video! She is so feisty and awesome! I love her style and these few photos are my favorite!
She has this rocker chic edginess to her and I love it!
She definitely inspires me to be more fierce! Will now be taking more time to do my makeup and hair. Yes I get lazy haha
She was on X Factor USA tonight performing her new single "Oath". I can't wait to hear the entire CD!
Artist inspiration?

Book Review: Phantom Of The Opera

Hello lovely readers! I finally finished one of the greatest classics ever!
The Phantom of the Opera by Gaston Leroux which has also been made into broadway shows and a movie. I admit that I've watched the movie a million times prior to reading the book. But when I finally did read the book I was completely blown away and left in tears. It was a beautiful story, very much different than the movie which I figured it would be. It is also a very sad story. The movie is just as beautiful. Sir. Andrew Lloyd Webber did a fantastic job composing the music and I find myself singing along to it. He is also a gifted singer and I love hearing all his songs over and over again.
I would love to see the broadway show one day too but I'll have to wait for that one.
So I definitely recommend the book to anyone who adores the movie and who loves classics
(French classics).
I would also like to diverge into the investigation of the Real Phantom of the Opera!

Have you read this book? Watched the movie?

In my own humble opinion, Gerry is the best phantom! (Yes I've heard the others sing the Phantom's songs but I prefer him for some reason. To each his own)

Cozy And Fashionable

Fall Fashions - Cozy, Confident And High Fashion

If you are the type of fashion lover who looks forward to autumn, styles this fall are sure to please. Fabrics are making the biggest statement in fall fashions this season. The fashion accents rely heavily on fabric trends that range from soft cashmere to brushed wool and tweed that chase away autumn chills without sacrificing design and style.

Cozy Wool And Blends - High in Fashion Confidence

Another trend in autumn's fashions is the pairing of solids with patterns and plaids. In the haute couture world, two contrasting designs like a black and white chevron shorter length jacket is coupled with a trousers in contrasting herringbone by top designers. Look for these combinations to become the signature style statement of the season.

Sweaters, Ponchos, Capes, Scarves

No fashion ensemble for autumn can be considered complete without a sweater, cozy poncho, flowing cape and an accompanying long scarf for a pant coat or full-length top coat. Bulky sweaters are back in style and are worn in colors from delicate pastels to deep claret and chocolate. Another style trend are matching cardigan and pullover sets in cashmere and soft wool. Ponchos and capes are the perfect foil for windy autumn weather in the big city. They're comfortable and easy to feel ensconced in warmth. Long scarves are everywhere in beautiful animal prints and paisleys as well as the ever popular conservative black and navy.

Accessorize Your Way To High Style

No autumn wardrobe is complete without accessories and shoes. Pant boots and knee high boots accent long skirts and man-cut trousers for fall. Jewelry complements autumn fashions in chunky pieces of hammered metals and amber, onyx and a broad selection of other semi-precious gems for bracelets, necklaces and earrings. Oh and let's not forget. Hats are back and the brushed wool beret is racing to the top in camel, black, red and navy to match or contrast with outerwear and other accessories. Purses and handbags seem at odds with each other. Either they are barely there in size and weight or they are prominent shoulder and tote bags of regal proportions.

Tips For the Fashion Conscious

Fashion conscious women won't have to worry about choices this autumn. Delve into the autumn "you" and choose your favorites.

First Fall Outfit!

I wore this outfit last week when it was around 60 degrees for the first time! I wore my favorite striped top, a red sailor esque scarf and my red high tops. I opted for natural makeup and a bun to keep my hair out of my face. Though it is not shown, I wore a slouchy black cardigan since the wind was pretty strong in the morning. Usually the temperature is low in the morning and it gets hotter as the day goes on so it's nice to wear layers you can easily take off. You girls will see my fall outfits soon since the weather is perfect for sweaters and scarfs! Hope you guys like the pics!

What I wore:
Top and Scarf: Forever 21
Pants: Kohls
Shoes: Converse

OOTW: Oct 2012 3 and 4

Here are the last four outfits I wore to school these past two weeks. They're very simple, casual outfits and the weather was getting colder each day! So you can see how I transitioned to my cardigans and scarves. I hope it continues to stay around the 60's! I love this weather and it gives ne a chance to wear my scarves and printed longsleeve tops.
It finally feels like Fall!

The Want List: November 2012

It's November and I'm so into combat boots (actually have been for awhile).
Fall is here and I just feel like boots complete my outfit.
My ultimate desire is to buy Steve Madden combat boots, the Troopa style!

What are your Wants for November?

I also would like to say that I hope everyone on the North East is safe or getting the help they need. Hurricane Sandy has devestated so many on the East coast and lives will never be the same.
