NOTW: Go Overboard

My lovelies, it's Monday and I have no idea how I'm going to get through today.
Why are Monday's so hard to go through? I seriously don't understand. Is it cause it's the beginning of the week or because it's the end of the weekend? What ever the reason may be Monday's are hard.
But you girls know that the only way I start the week is with a fresh mani + pedi. Now, for those of you who don't know, I do my own nails at home. It's work and I barely have time in my busy life but when I do man is it worth it. Nothing better than looking down at your hands and seeing a perfect mani.
This week I went for a dark blue-ish/green-ish color from essie. Go Overboard was such a beautiful color and I wanted something different than the usual dark hues for fall. So this one is definitly worth a try. To buy it please click on the link below and you'll be able to purchase it from Amazon!
Hope you like the picture!

OOTD: I'm Still Into You

Hello beauties, I've got another OOTD post for you guys this Wednesday. Now that I'm regularly going to school I've got outfits up the wazoo! Unfortunetly I haven't been able to film OOTD videos but I am actually kind of bored of them. I want to try other videos if you don't mind. I have a whole list of ideas that I am thinking of doing in the next few weeks. Hopefully I will be able to! This Friday I have a very special post and I can't wait to show it to you guys!
But for this outfit I just went for something really, really simple. Paired my Bar ||| top with a regular pair of jeans and nude sandals. To make it a bit more colorful I applied my Up The Amp lipstick from Mac which has been a go-to for me for the past week lol. My nails are Bikini So Teeny (since this outfit was from the first week of school).

What I'm Wearing:
Top: Bar |||
Jeans: Levis
Shoes: Forever 21
Lips: Up the Amp MAC

NOTW: Bahama Mama

Hello my loves! It's been a very, very, very crazy past week!! But I will post more about that later. For now I want to talk to you girls about my current nail polish. Last week I wasn't able to post a Mani Mon post because I hadn't finished them yet and with school it's a little difficult to have a new color every week. I'm constantly doing work either for school, my blog, or my house. So you can imagine I don't have two hours to let my dark nails dry lol. But I finally found the time and did them. I chose this gorgeous deep purplish red color (oxblood really) and it's called Bahama Mama from Essie. I believe I've posted about this color before but what can I say I love it!! It's a little streaky when you first put it on but after a third coat you are good! I wanted to wear this color with gold and brown bangles which give it a more boho chic kind of look. What do you girls think?

**Fall Fashion 2013**

Special Sunday Post!
Hello my beauts, it's officially the first day of fall and boy am I glad to have finally reached this season. Fall is one of my favorite seasons not only for the beautiful, color changing leaves and the lower temperature, but also for the change in fashion. Bring out those darker hues and the leather boots.
Now, where I live it doesn't get cold or even slightly chilly. Instead we suffer year around with humid, summer weather. But that doesn't stop me from dipping my toes into fall trends.
In this post, I have collected a few of my favorite trends to go into a little more detail for you guys.
I hope you guys find it helpful and inspiring. Let me know if you will be trying out any of these trends or any of your own in the comments below!!

Okay ladies, let's start off with the color scheme of fall. From what I've seen the three main colors that are in this season are: plum, emerald, and burgundy.
Plum is definetly one of my favorite colors for this season and so is emerald. They are rich and beautiful and so modern for fall. It's not the usual black, brown, and gray uniform which is refreshing. I will be using a lot more plum colors on my nails and lips because I love to add a little bit of color in an other wise black outfit. Plum is one of my favorite colors for my lips as I think it suits my face very well.
I also love to use deep, dark reds that resemble burgundy for lipstick.
I think I would try to find a leather cross body bag in the emerald color or a thick knit sweater would be just as gorgeous. To be honest, I own nothing that's emerald. Sad, yes I know.

Oxblood nails

Plum Lips

In love with her outfit and lipstick which match her infinity scarf!

Layering is the next trend. We have seen this throughout the entire year and it will continue into fall and winter most likely. I love layering a chunky cardigan over a chiffon top or a skater dress. It gives you something different to work with and you can use some of your summer buys.

As for fabrics that are in we will start with the classic prints. Classic prints to me are stripes, pinstripes or plaid, and leopard. Yes, leopard and cheetah prints are still in for the fall time. I can't see why they wouldn't be as they are so classic and chic. You can pair a silky cheetah print top with a black fitted blazer and some fancy arm candy and you are set!

Leather is still in for fall and it's no surprise. Everyone is wearing it and there are so many different ways to wear it! I love little leather accents on anything from my tops to skirts to shoes! I actually have a very special video post on How I Style: Leather Skirts! Check it out!
But remember never dress leather and leather together.

Even the Kardashian-Jenner clan is rocking it!

The last trend I will talk about is the military inspired outfits. We've all seen how everyone has embraced the cameo wear and it will be no different this fall! Expect more military inspired pieces in the store. But remember, this can still be a girly outfit if paired right. Look for girly styled tops like a peplum with the dark green military inspired color and pair with sliming pants. If you're looking for a girly, flowy green skirt than pair it with a tank and cameo jacket. So many choices that the possibilities are endless!!

I hope this post gave you some material to work with and remember to always wear what you feel good in! Have a wonderful day beauties!

PS: none of these photos are mine and I will try to link back to wear I found them.

Product Review: Cetaphil Oil Control Foam Wash

Hello my beautiful readers! So I want to talk about this new product I purchased a week ago. Now, if you know me, you know I like my usual products and don't tend to switch things up. But this time I did and boy did it go wrong! I wanted to try out the new Cetaphil face cleanser which I had heard good reviews on. I thought it would clean my face and leave a fresh feeling. Well, it did the exact opposite. I'm a person with highly sensitive skin but I didn't think this product would effect me so badly. It did. The first day I used it I developed an irritation on my right cheek that extended to my chin. I thought I would give it a day to clear up, thinking it was just the pimples surfacing before going away like what usually happens. I was dead wrong! By the night time my right eye was extremely irritated. Mind you, I had not used the product on my eye and it had not fallen into my eye. My right eye itched so much that I had to put eye drops. Thankfully it wasn't too bad the next day though still uncomfortable. I also still had a face full of itchy bumps that are not pimples. These bumps are probably caused by an allergic reaction to the product.
Foolishly I wanted to try the product for a second time. But there was no surprise when I found more bumps, redness, itchy skin, and uncomfortable eyes. So, after trying it out I have come to the conclusion of just returning it and getting my ten dollars back. I'd much rather spend my money on a trusty, old facial cleanser that leaves my skin feeling clean, refreshed, and fabulous! (which is the regular Clean & Clear if you're wondering).

I must say, Cetaphil isn't all bad it is just this particular product that does not suit me. I purchased the day moisturizer with SPF and it works perfectly fine. (Though I hate using it if I'm going to wear makeup because I don't like the feel of sunscreen on my face). I'm not sure if it moisturizers as well as my Cereve night cream but for now I'm only truly using it as a sunscreen.

If you girls like my product reviews let me know in the comments below and I will do more! Hope everyone found this post beneficial.

OOTD: First Day of School....

Hello again! It's Wednesday, hump day! (Sorry I had to, that camel commercial has been stuck in my head!) The middle of the week is always hard to get to yet after we pass it the week seems to fly by. Is it cause we are so close to Friday? Probably, everyone loves Friday and there's nothing better than ending the school/work week. Today I'm showing you girls what I wore the first day of school a while back. I know it's been a month or so but I love this outfit and can't resist wearing these adorable cropped jeans! I've been looking for cropped jeans for such a long time that when I finally found them I bought them immedietly! They are from levis, which is my favorite brand of jeans, and they are black "leggings". I say "leggings" because they don't feel or look like leggings at all. They feel like real jeans with great structure but they have incredible stretch like leggings. This top is from Forever 21, I've been looking for an ivory sleeveless chiffon blouse for such a long time that when I found this I again found it impossible to resist. Especially with forever 21, their clothes get sold out so fast!
I decided to bring some color into the look with my shoes and my nails!
Styled my hair with curls which is the only managable way I can style my hair nowadays.
Even though the first day of school is long gone and we are all settling into our schedules, I want to wish you guys a great year! School is stressful and it doesn't really get easier (let's face it lol college is no walk in the park). But, I will tell you this, I believe in you and anything you set your mind to you will achieve it. So do it. Follow your dreams and follow your heart, that's the only way to be happy.
And never let anyone bring you down!

This or That Tag

Hello my beauties, today I have a very different post than my usual Manicure Monday. I thought I would change it up a bit (I also don't have my nails done so I have no pictures to show you girls lol sorry!). Please let me know if you guys like these kinds of posts!
I got tagged by Emma in the This and That Tag!! I've actually been wanting to do this in a video but I wasn't sure what the questions were. But now that I do here we go!
Hope you enjoy learning more about me!

Make up:

1. Blush or Bronzer- I've been using bronzer a lot more than blush lately, so I guess bronzer!
2. Lip gloss or lip stick - Lipstick, hands down! I hate lipgloss.
3. Eyeliner or mascara - Lately all I use is mascara (I've been trying to wear less makeup and for some reason I think that wearing eyeliner is too much. I don't like to look so different when I take off my makeup that my friends will be scared lol)
4. Foundation or concealer- I've been using concealer only. I'm not a fan of foundation.
5. Natural or Colored eyeshadow - I usually go for natural eyeshadow. But when I was younger I used a lot of colored eyeshadow. Guess I got it out of my system lol.
6. Pressed or loose eyeshadow - Pressed, so much less messier. I own a few loose shadows and they always get everywhere on my face and hands. Really annoying!
7. Brush or Sponge - Brush, always.

Nails:

1.Opi or China Glaze- Neither, I prefer Essie.
2. Long or Short - I love long nails but once 1 breaks I have to start over. That's what I'm doing now.
3. Acrylic or natural - Natural nails, I've never had acrylic but I don't really like the thought of glueing something to my nail that can later rip off the nails.
4. Bright or dark- I love both for their respective seasons but I prefer bright colors.
5. Flower or no Flower - I've never done nail art (if that's what it's referring to). I am no artist when it comes to my nails so no flower.

Body:
1. Perfume or body splash- I love perfume but I haven't bought any in a long time. (Haven't found one I love).
2. Lotion or Body Butter- Lotion, I hate body butters.
3. Body wash or soap- Body wash just cause I love using my loafah.
4. Lush or Other - I've never tried lush or other body product brands.

Fashion:

1. Jeans or Sweat Pants - Jeans, I don't own a pair of sweat pants.

2. Long sleeves or short sleeve? Well, most of my tops are sleeveless.

3. Dress or Skirt? Dresses! I own more dresses than skirts.
4. Scarves or Hat- Scarves! They are so pretty and I hate anything that will make my head sweat.
5. Studs or dangling earrings- I own both but I wear mostly studs. Dangle earrings are too heavy.
6. Necklace or bracelet- Necklaces all the way! That has been my obsession for a long time.
7. Heels or flats-  Both as I wear both on a regular basis.
8. Cowboy boots or riding boots - How about combat boots?
9. Jackets or hoodies - Jackets, they're so much more fashionable.
10. Forever 21 or Charlotte Russe-  Forever 21, of course!

Hair:
1. Curly or Straight- My hair is naturally curly but I like to curl it with the iron.
2.  Bun or Ponytail - If I put my hair up it's going in a bun!
3. Bobby pin or butterfly clips - bobby pins, though I'm always lossing them.
4. Hairspray or gel - Hairspray.
5. Long or short- It's of medium length at the moment but I'm trying to grow it long!
6. Dark or light-  My hair is pretty light brown right now. Trying to grow out the damaged tips.
7. Side swept bangs or fully bangs -  Side swept bangs, though they are short because I'm growing my fringe out.
8. Up or down- I like it both ways, down when I have it nice and done. Up when I'm having a bad hair day or it's hot outside.

Random:

1. Rain or shine- Definitely Shine!

2. Summer or winter- Both I can't decide!

3. Fall or spring- Both again except I like fall better.
4. Chocolate or Vanilla- Chocolate!

I hope you guys found this interesting and informative lol! It's very different from my usual posts :)

1. Marie from The Joy Of Fashion

3. Charley from Rambling Of a beauty blogger

How I Style: Leather Skirt

Hello loves, I hope you all had a fabulous week. If not, I hope this video can brighten your day just a bit. I had so much fun styling my leather skirt, which you girls have seen here and here. This time around I wanted to show you guys three different outfits with the same skirt. I love transforimg something I've worn a lot into something new by just adding a colored cardigan or heels. (You can tell the last outfit is my favorite hehe). Since leather anything is in this fall I wanted to get this video out there for anyone who owns a leather skirt. You can also switch out the skirt for leather pants/shorts. I absolutely love this trend as it can be worn so many different ways. Plus, leather is very edgy and chic all at once. My skirt is very full and flared. I would like to find a leather skirt that's just a bit less poofy.
Please let me know which outfit is your favorite and if you like these kinds of videos.

Fall Nail Polishes

Hello lovelies, Today I'm bringing to you a very popular topic. That is the topic of the new fall collection! Fall hasn't "officially" started just yet but I want you lovelies to be prepared. I bring to you in this post one of my all time favorite nail polish brands: Essie. You all know that every Monday I post about what color I'm wearing that week. Today I will be giving you guys a heads up on what I think will be really in this fall and the colors I love. So I will be showing you guys the fall collections of Essie but I will also be showing you guys what colors I love for fall! Let me know what colors you'll be sporting this season! I know that some countries don't have this brand available but I will link down below other nail polish brands that are just as beautiful. Please let me know what country you live in and what nail polish brand is your favorite!!

These six new fall colors are already available on the essie store site! My favorite would have to be The Lace is on and Twin Sweater Set. Maybe cause I love color and prefer it over silver/grays. But all of these are extremely festive! I love that happy spirit and can't wait to buy The Lace is on!

But there are a few colors I believe should have been in the collection. (What's up with all the silver and gray? Do we seriously need 3 shades of gray?) I think the essie color pickers, or what ever they're called, should have gone for a deep plum like Casino Royale by OPI. I also think they should have come up with a new deep, oxblood red like their previous collection, Wicked by essie. OPI also has this gorgeous dark red with orange/red sparkles in it, Every Month is Oktoberfest, and by the Kardashian collection, Nicole, there is the gorgeous reddish shade with sparkles as well called Shoot for the Maroon. Absolutely love these colors! Check them out and buy them from the links below.

Maybe they will be saving these colors for the winter collection so I will keep my eyes peeled for that. For now I will enjoy these bright, festive colors!

Stay tuned for my fall trends post coming out next week!

NOTW: The Thrill of Brazil

Hello loves, it's Monday and I'm here to show you girls what I've got on my nails.
I wanted to go for a bright red just because it's the beginning of September and I still have a long way to go till fall officially starts. I want to try and space out my fall nail colors because a lot of the ones I have are more appropriate for late fall and winter. (I'm pretty OCD about it). So this week I went with a beautiful bright red which is called The Thrill of Brazil from OPI. You girls know I'm not the biggest fan of OPI but I will tred on just because the color is gorgeous.
I think next week I'll go for something equally bright or maybe even a little darker. I don't know, I haven't decided. I'm not one of those people who has their outfits/nails planned out for the rest of the week. I'm the kind of girl that just wears what ever feels good at that moment. That's how I like to live, in the moment. Okay my loves, I'm off to school and dreading it. I believe the weekend is far too short and the week is far too long. But, I hope you guys will have a great Monday and a great week!
I think I'm going to start posting again on Wednesdays, like I use to. I took a little break because I had to recharge my creative juices. But now I think I have enough post ideas to write about. Oh, by the way, a huge surprise will be coming out either this week or next so please stay tuned!

OOTD: August 9, 2013

Hello girls, okay I know the title says August 9 and we're in September but I kinda got mixed up last week and thought my BTS School Bag outfit was before my BTS Clothing Haul outfit. Sorry for the mix up! Well for that video I wore one of my favorite floral dresses with a bright yellow cardigan. I love this bright cardigan cause it brings life into darker outfits. I wore a gold sparrow/swallow bird necklace and a tiny pyramid ring. This is such a simple outfit to put on (which I love cause I'm pretty lazy most days lol). I hope you girls like it and I know summer's over but this was the last summer outfit so I wanted to show you guys!

What I Wore:
Dress: Marshalls
Cardigan: Nordstrom Rack
Shoes: Forever 21
Jewelry: Forever 21

Let me know what kind of videos you guys would like to see!!
I'm thinking of changing up my usual routine so any suggestions will be a tremendous help!

NOTW: Bikini So Teeny

Hello my lovely fashionistas! It's Manicure Monday and I've got new nails for you.
Now, you're gonna see a big change! My claws are gone and I am so sad about it. But what happened was I broke one of my nails and couldn't deal with one of my nails being super short. Plus the nail polish was chipping so badly I had to take it off and do my nails again. I guess that's why people get acrylics but can't stand that on my nails.
Any who, this muted blue color is so pretty for the last week of summer. (Though technically isn't September fall already? I have no idea). This pale, gray/blue is called Bikini so Teeny by Essie.
I love Essie because most of there colors don't chip at all. Like this one! I've had it on for a few days and nothing yet! But, since fall is here upon us I will be changing my colors and going for some darker shades. Would you girls like me to do a Fall Nail Polish post?? Let me know in the comments below!
