Catching Fire: Katniss Everdeen Make-up Tutorial (Capitol Party)

Hello everyone and happy Friday!! So today I have a little make-up tutorial for you guys!! The Hunger Games: Catching Fire came out last week and this past weekend I went to go see it. I was extremely captivated by the costumes and the make-up. So much so that when I came back home I knew I wanted to make a tutorial on it! I don't care if others have done it before me. This is my interpretation and I tried my best to imitate it as best as I could! I hope you guys like it and if you haven't seen the movie you must go watch it!! It is so much better than the first movie (but you'll need to watch it first to understand this one better). This was one of my favorite make-up looks in the movie that Katniss wore!! It's beautiful and so fun! Red doesn't really suit me but I loved creating this look.
I'll list all the products I used down below and I'll add the picture which I drew my inspirations from!
Have you seen the movie?
Did you like it? Hate it?
Let me know your thoughts below!

The AMAs and Samsung!

Hello beauties! If you watched the AMAs this past Sunday night tell me if you noticed this new trend. The AMAs teamed up with Samsung so the presenters could present the winner for any particular award through the new Galaxy Note 3! It's amazing how society has grown with technology. You see it more and more everyday as people and companies incorporate it to their daily lives! This is a major step for Samsung as they are big rivals of Apple. This is the second year that they have teamed up with the AMA producers increasing their sales incredibly! But even though the Galaxy Note 3 is just as great as the iPhone and even has some really cool features (like its extra gear that even includes a watch!) it's more like a mini tablet instead of a phone. How does that thing fit in your pocket?

I do have to admit they've got some really cool covers for them. You can choose between a wide variety of colors as well as hard or leather covers. There's flip styles and just back covers as well. Here are some:

I know what you may be thinking! What does this have to do with fashion or beauty?
Maybe nothing but maybe it does. Everyone is always looking for the next big thing. What's cool, what's not. Here I'm showing you that Samsung doesn't want to get left behind. We all know Apple has a massive hold over celebrities, business men/women, bloggers, ect. For Samsung to come and set their territory at the AMAs (an award show viewed by millions on replay) it is a big step. What I recommend to them? Make it easier to hold with one hand and get companies that make cuter or cooler covers. For now, it's extremely hard to find cute covers for us girls. All the ones I could find are pretty basic and manly. It's not appealing to me and probably won't be to my fellow ladies.
Hope this post shows just how serious Samsung is getting. Will you be trading off your Iphone for the Galaxy note 3? Let me know!

Top 5 AMAs Outfits!

Hello loves, if you love watching award shows than you'll know that last night was the AMA's (American Music Awards). I believe a few weeks ago were the EMAs, (European Music Awards) which took place in the Amsterdam, Netherlands. This year the AMAs took place in the Nokia Theatre in L.A., California on November 24, 2013. Here are my favorite five outfits for the night and my favorite boys of the night. (wink, wink lol)

Lady Gaga:
The Queen arrives on her white steed dressed in lavender with long, beautiful blond hair.
Gaga does it again! She mesmerizes and out does everyone. Who rides on a horse (man made horse really) on to the red carpet! Now, I must admit that I'm not too much of a fan of the dress even tho the color is perfect. Im not liking the silk stripes going down the bottom half at all. But because this is Gaga I let it slide. Besides, this is not as bad as some people. I would say this made it to one of my top because of the entrance. Grand it was!

Ke$ha:
Wow, can you say classy?! Her dress from Michael Costello is on point this year. The deep, black color makes it sultry and seductive with some added sexiness to her bare leg. But the elegant folds and draping make it so gorgeous. I love that she has two pastel colors in her hair making it a very soft rock look. You've definetly changed since your first appearance on the red carpet!
I would not mind taking this dress for a spin.

Kendall and Kylie:
Kendall wore a top and skirt from Keepsake and paired it with Manolo Blahnik nude heels.
Kylie opted for a Maiyet Top, Giambatista Valli pants, and Barbara Bui shoes. She had topped everything off with a Balenciaga jacket but it's not featured in this picture. Both these girls are style inspirations for me. One for her classy elegance and the other for her rocker edge.

One Direction:
Now, I couldn't talk about an award show and not talk about my favorite boy band. One Direction!!!
Lol, I know I know it's annoying to fan girl but I must!! These five boys are incredible as performers and as people. But, let's talk about their outfits. First of all, look at the cohesiveness these five boys men have. Their color scheme is black and gray-obviously lol- and most of them are wearing dress pieces;except for Niall who obviously wants to be rebellious (hehe can you note I'm kidding.)
I can't get over how incredibly handsome they all look and once they step on that red carpet all eyes are on them. So happy they have continued to be their down-to-Earth selves.
Keep it up babes!!

Did you watch the AMAs?
Who do you think performed the best?
What were your favorite outfits?

Product Review: Clump Crusher Mascara

Hello my beauties! Today I have a special post to share with you guys. I am reviewing the much talked about mascara! Now for some reason everytime I do a video reviewing something I change my mind by the time I write the post. It's because I use it more often once I have done the video. Not my fault! I'm a little confused with what I'm doing in the video as I'm pretty much doing two things in one: 1. reviewing the product and 2. my first impression. I don't think that makes sense so this will be the last time I do a product review without trying out the product for more than a day. Sorry loves!
Well, back to my review. After filming I started using it more and more. I find that it doesn't give me the desired volume I want or the length I want either. It's an alright mascara and it doesn't give you clumps. But I still use my full n' soft mascara to give my lashes more length and volume. I want to find a mascara that doesn't need the help of two or three others. I want one that's perfect.
So the search for the perfect mascara goes on!
Soon I will be reviewing the lash potion mascara!
(and yes this time I will have tried it out more than once! lol)

I think it's because it's the end of the year and people are just getting more and more crazy about the holidays. Well, finals are coming up and I'm of course stressing about it. NOTW: Got the Blues for Red ... Again!

So not my typical little nail pose this week. Surprise surprise haha. I went to a really cute Mad Men themed party on Saturday and they had adorable coke bottles with little spotted straws! So I took this really blurry pic of my nails holding the neck of the bottle. As you can see, I went for a classy, 1960s red for my nails as I was trying to achieve the look. (And guess what! There's a makeup tutorial coming soon for it! You guys are gonna love it) I love red and it's a perfect deep wine color for the fall time and now entering winter. Here are some inspirational pictures of the classy Mad Men ladies and their manicures.

Product Review: Revlon ColorStay Foundation Normal/Dry Skin

Hello my beautiful readers, so today (tonight really since I'm beyond late) I have a review for you guys!
A few days ago I asked on twitter if you girls were interested in me reviewing this product and you girls said yes so here I am giving you my honest opinion. Now, I have to say since making this video my skin has changed a bit. It is not less dry and flaky and I believe this foundation will be perfect for me just without the powder. I will probably use the powder on my nose and chin area. I will also be using a beauty blender to apply (or blend) the foundation instead of a brush as I find it gives it a better finish. And even though I feel this foundation is too peachy I think it's alright because I will be using bronzer and blush so I think it will even everything out.
Let me know if you girls try this and tag me in a picture! #RevlonColorStayDrySkin

Fall Evening Make-Up! 2013

Hello loves, can you believe we're already in November? I know, pretty insane how this year has just completely flown by. And even though we're almost in the winter season I want to show you guys my fall inspired make-up look for the evening. Now, you might be asking yourself, "this is fairly light for the evening." Well, yes and no. Yes because I decided to go for a lighter eye and lip considering I did a soft brown smokey eye with a nude lip. But no because I used false lashes in this look. I consider false lashes to be a feature of an evening look. Of course, you are not obligated to wear false lashes (I am not one to wear them often either). But for this look I thought, "what the heck, let's try this out!"

My sister got me some semi-natural lashes that are full yet not dense. They look so real once you put them on as they are not extremely long and they aren't super thick or dense which is something I love about them. I'm not a fan of the false lashes that literally look like false lashes. My eyes are already very big and adding lashes like that makes me feel like they are even bigger in a scary, creepy doll way.
I think I will be using (and reviewing) a lot more lashes from now on as after doing this make up look I'm very much intrigued by them. It is quite an expense I must say as the lashes and the glue cost about five bucks each. We will see! For now I hope you guys enjoy my first ever make-up tutorial. Any tips and advice is greatly appreciated! Have a great rest of the week lovelies!

NOTW: After School Boy Blazer

It's Monday! And I'm excited for today because there's no school for me!!! I haven't had a day off of school since (maybe two months. I get crazy when school starts so yes I'm very happy!)
Today I'm showing you guys my nails of the week again! I don't even know if you guys like to see these or find them helpful. Do you mind letting me know in the comments below? I would appreciate it so much and that way I can make better posts that you guys are more interested in reading.
So last week I should you guys my very festive red mani with a bit of glitter.
This week I've a dark navy blue on my nails, so very fall time appropriate. This color can even transition to winter time (though it came out for Essie's fall collection.)
Any who, I thought this was such a gorgeous color! It's one of my favorites out of the whole fall collection. For some reason Essie has played it down this year with the fall and winter collections and I'm pretty upset about it. I love color and I don't want to give it up just because the weather changes.
Who makes up these rules anyway!
Well, to give you guys some inspiration on how to dress up your polish if it's way to plain for you I've added some of my favorite inspirational nail pictures for you guys at the bottom.
Hope you like it!
Have a happy Monday!

Concert OOTD: The Lumineers!

Hello beautifuls and welcome back to another week of Fashion Friday! Today I am showing you guys another OOTD, but this time I am on my way to a Lumineers concert! (Of course this has already happened so I am showing you guys the end result).  I mention in the video that the venue was an amphitheatre and since this is Miami they had forecasted thunderstorms for the night. HELP!
Thankfully there was no rain though very dark and ugly clouds loomed above. It was such a wonderful concert and totally different than what I've usually been to. The Lumineers are a folk/indie kind of band and their opening acts were just as eclectic. I didn't add any clips from the opening act but here are their links: Nathaniel Rateliff and Dr. Dog.

Hope you girls enjoy this video and let me know if you've ever heard about these bands!

Product Review| Rimmel: Show Off Lip Lacquers

Hello loves, I hope you all are having a wonderful day! It would be better if one of us was having a better day as I am having a pretty bad day. Not only did I have to drive around my school's parking lot for ten minutes trying to find parking but when I was leaving some dumb lady ran a stop sign and almost crashed into me. I tell you, some people I just don't know where their head is at.
Anyway, let's move past that and talk about this new beauty product that has been on every one's lips... except mine. Now you may want to know why I didn't add this to my Beauty Haul or why I haven't even mentioned it.. Well, don't worry I've got you covered.
In this super quick, two minute video I'll tell you why I didn't like this product at all. I'm sorry for the lack of swatch pictures but I did add a swatch video clip to the video so you will see it live.
If you like this or didn't like this product please let me know in the comments below!
I was so looking forward to having a new lip product (I'm such a lip product hoarder haha).
Oh well, can't love them all!

NOTW: Leading Lady

Hello beauties and hello November! (Four days late I know but I totally forgot to talk about it last week!) I am getting so into this month. I got a few new pieces for my room... (I'll post about it soon!) I also have got a winter clothing haul coming soon! But today I will be showing you guys what has been on my nails this past week! If you saw my OOTD video on Friday then you got a sneak peak. The main color on my nails is called Twin Sweater Set by Essie and is in their fall collection. I used Leading Lady, which is a gorgeous red glitter polish, for my ring and middle finger.
Below you will find two pictures of my polish (one with flash and one without) as they seem quite different in these two pictures. I think I will be wearing a lot more glitters these next few weeks! They are so fun and give your nails more pizazz!
One thing I did want to mention is I used a base coat for the first time ever! Next week I will let you know how I liked it and if it was any good. Red polishes always give me a hard time when I have to take them off so I'm excited to see if the base coat helps.

What colors are you loving for November?
