The Hunger Games: Book Review

Spoiler ALERT!!!! Watch it in theatres March 23,2012!!!
I'm sure everyone has heard or read The Hunger Games by Suzzane Collins. If you're looking for a quick, easy read to get you through the week with lots of action and suspense here it is! I couldn't put the book down once I started reading it and it literally took me four days to read it! I'm getting ansy waiting to buy the second and third instalment in this trilogy. Very anxious about watching the movie too! I have a soft spot for books that get the lucky shot of turning in to a movie!
Here's a quick summary of what you'll get yourself in to:
Katniss Everdeen, the main character of the action packed novel, is a young 16 year old girl who lives in this New country Panem. The USA had been at civil war and what rose after to unit 13 districts was Panem and the Capitol. One of the districts rebelled and was destroyed. District 13.
To keep the other districts in check every year the Capitol hosts The Hunger Games choosing randomly one boy and one girl tribute to fight against 23 others from every district. Only one survives and wins the games, winning means fame and riches.
We must remember that there is so much more poverty in the lower districts. They have no food, no money and their only jobs are the ones assigned to them.

This story really brings you in and makes you feel what the other characters are feeling.
Suzzane Collins is a great story teller. Can't wait to see what she brought to Catching Fire, the second book.

I love fashion but am really happy to find somebody with a blog mixed with other interest beyond style, trends, etc. A good-dressed girl is not always a superficial doll, sometimes there is more and i think you got it. Congrats.
